The Three Faces of Eve (1957)

Man, it is really hard to keep up with reviewing movies if you don't have the Internet at home. Even though Seattle is the Hollywood of coffee shops, and even the grocery store has free wireless, it is still difficult to write about stuff. The 4ish people that read this blog will understand, I trust.

In other news, my review of Annie Hall was linked to on another website, so cool:

In other other news, I didn't really care for The Three Faces of Eve. Joanne Woodward is a pretty good actor and all, but the movie is definitely melodramatic and a bit dumb. I guess this is the only movie I've seen about multiple personality disorder, so I don't have much to compare it to. Nevertheless, this flick reinforces my #1 philosophy that patriarchy is everywhere. Eve gets hit A LOT in this movie because she has a mental issue going on. I don't remember Humbert Humbert getting beaten up in that Kubrick movie, and he was totally mad. Unfair.

  1. I'd like to point out that the first word in this posting is "man." Patriarchy IS everywhere.
